Ingredients: (1 Protein, 1 Q-Snack, 1 Starch)
5 – 7 oz Turkey Breast skinned
1 Akmak Cracker crushed
1 tsp Parsley chopped
Dash of Morton Lite Salt, Garlic Powder & Pepper
4 fl oz Water
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix Akmak cracker & seasonings, then mix in supplement powder and water.
Roll turkey in mixture.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Baste with liquid, turn & bake another 30 minutes.
Cream of Chicken Gravy
Ingredients: (1 Q-Snack)
6 fl oz Boiling Water
1/8 Tsp. Arrowroot
Add boiling water to soup mix.
Add arrowroot and stir until dissolved.
Serve over any meat.
Mashed & Stuffed Potatoes
Ingredients: (1 Starch, ½ Protein)
½ Baked Potato
2 oz Cottage Cheese 1% Low Fat
¼ tsp each: Morton Light Salt, Pepper, Paprika
Place cottage cheese in blender. Add to inside of potato, then add seasonings.
Mock Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients: (1 Protein, 2 Vegetables)
5 – 6 oz 1% Low Fat Cottage Cheese
1 cup Cooked Cauliflower
1 cup Water
Morton Lite Salt
Pepper to Taste
Paprika or Parsley (Optional)
Cook the cauliflower in water. Drain the cooked cauliflower well.
Mash the cottage cheese and cauliflower well, add salt and pepper.
(Optional) Just before serving, sprinkle top with paprika or parsley.
Ingredients: (1 Q-Snack, 1 Starch, ½ Vegetable)
1 Slice Diet Bread, diced
½ Stalk of Celery, diced
4 fl oz Water
1/8 tsp. Poultry Seasoning
Morton Lite Salt & Pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients. Bake 10 – 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Yellow Squash and Onions
Ingredients: (2 Vegetables)
1 cup Yellow Summer Squash
5 Medium Green Onions (chopped)
Dash of Garlic Powder
1 cup Water
Wash and cut off ends of squash, slice about 1/8″ thick.
Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat it up.
Add squash, chopped onion and 1/4 cup water.
Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes until tender.
Mock Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients: (½ Protein, 1 Q-Snack)
1 Large Egg
1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 Tsp. Cinnamon
1/4 Tsp. Allspice
Add water to the QWLC Vanilla Supplement to make a pudding.
Mix all ingredients in a blender.
Pour mixture into a small baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. (If you don’t use the egg, then you don’t have to bake it.)
